Austin H S Math & Science

Our first semester has been one of drought and humility.  Our team is going through a growing phase in losing our bread winners and bringing up those to replace them in making our school once again one of honour and success.  This has culminated in a great deal of change and in thus has served us in a negative manner for our scores and successes.  Yet, Austin is in no way giving up on our future in Math and Science, we are in all manners of speaking adjusting to the changing times and atmosphere.  Our continued dedication will not recede and will only be worked harder upon as we learn to adjust and find our motivation in the growing of our youthful students.

Expect only hardened practices and dutiful dedication in the months ahead.  Now the time has come for our students to realize their potential in their ability and understanding of the material.  This will culminate in our victories at District and hopefully in returning to State.  We will continue to work hard and despite the atmosphere of our school, we will have success and true academic excellence.  Austin will prove to the world, we will always be a force to be reckoned with.

This last year we saw a lot of interest grow in UIL Academics at our school.  This year is no different.  We have now added new coaches and even more students to the program and expect so much more to come.  This website will continue to offer the updates on our math and science team along with how the other coaches are doing.  Should be interesting.  In the meantime Austin will be attending the Student Activities Conference at Sam Houston State University.  So if you’re going, expect to see us joining all of you.  Good luck to all and expect a great deal of fun competition this year.
